Week 11

As soon as i think soccer is over,  Coach texts me, "You should really come to practice tonight". I was thrilled because I had been trying to play with the first team. Once I get to practice the coach greets me and says thanks for coming. I start off practicing very strong because when I play with better competition, I rise to that level. I am playing with perfection. I swear I only messed up a few times during the drills and I was finishing all my shots on goal. This was so good for me because it will help me decide what I want to do next year. I was leaning more towards returning home, but now I want to wait it out a little longer and think it over. I think that is the smart choice.

Some even better news is I got to travel with the first team to the NCAA National tournament. I was super excited to travel with the team. We had a 4-hour bus ride to the stadium, which was alright. The seats were so uncomfortable but it was over before I knew it. We get to the stadium for practice the day before the game. We were only able to practice for an hour because those are the NCAA rules. After the practice, we went back to the hotel.  The next day we went bowling before the game which gave us something to do but i think it was a bad idea because we were all joking around and not being serious and getting ready for the game. A few hours pass, and here comes game time. Once the game started I could already tell they were better than us. We ended up losing the game 3-1, and everybody was really mad which I totally get.

Week 2

         This picture was taken when my friends and I went to Chicago. This was my first time going to Chicago so I was super excited and was ready to see what the Windy City had to offer. To start off the day we had an early practice so we were all ready to go by 12 and had the entire day to do sightseeing. We head off to the train station and take the 1 hour train ride to the city. Everyone was asleep for almost the entire time because of the practice we had in the morning. Once we get to the city, we walked along the river for about 30 min until we got to downtown and got to see some cool stuff. The first thing we saw I think was some sort of playhouse square looking area. Playhouse square is a very popular place in cleveland (where I'm from). The next thing we saw was the Trump tower. Week 9

     So last week my Girlfriend came to visit me and I was super excited because I hadn't seen her since I left for college. She flew in on Friday morning and I had to pick her up at 8 a.m. which was pretty early for me because I had to get up before 7, but I didn't care. Unfortunately, I had class that day so I could really hang out with her until after 1 p.m., but after that, I showed her around the campus and we got some lunch from the cage. After that, I had practice from 6-9 or something like that. After practice, we went out to Fat Rosie and got some very good Mexican food and then we walked around Downtown Naperville for a little bit before going back to my dorm.      The next day we slept in and we decided that we should go to Chicago and see what going on over there because we don't get to go to the city often. Week 8

 Week 8 of college and I finally have gotten into a good rhythm with school and soccer. Last week my mom and grandparents came to visit me from Ohio and we had a great time. We went out to dinner in downtown Naperville and I might have had the best mac and cheese ever. I forgot the place's name but I will take my girlfriend out there when she comes to visit this weekend. I haven't seen her for a few months, so I'm sure we will also have a great time.  The friendships I've created are becoming stronger, which is good because I was kinda nervous about leaving my old friends behind. Most of my friends are on the soccer team but I'm slowly making friends outside of the team so I don't think I have anything to worry about. However, soccer hasn't gotten any better. I'm still on the reserve team but I've been getting more and more minutes each game and I'm scoring a decent amount.
