Free Time

My friends and I wanted to go to the city this past weekend but had no plan. Luckily, other friends wanted to see the Christmas tree get lit up, so now we had a move. We left for the city at about 5:15 so we had enough time to get to the tree. On the way to the tree, one of my friends dropped her purse and it probably got picked it immediately. Being in the middle of Chicago and during a big event was probably the worst time to drop something like that. Supposedly she had many valuable things in her bag which is very unfortunate. After we spent about 20 min looking around for her bag we left and got some food because we were all hungry at the point. The best part about it is we didn't even get to see the tree get lit up.

The girls in our group decided to head out early because the one was very upset and she just wanted to leave. We had to have spent at least an hour deciding what we should do next and we decided that we should at least try to see the tree even though it was so packed. We leave Shake Shack and head to the tree. Not too long on our way, we saw a huge street market in the middle of a plaza so you already know we had to go check it out. We only spent a few minutes in there because we happened to get there 10 minutes before they closed. Finally, we make our way to the tree and see it all lit up. I thought it was going to be a lot bigger than it actually was, but that ok, at least we saw it. Here is a picture of my friends and I in front of the tree.

Week 2

         This picture was taken when my friends and I went to Chicago. This was my first time going to Chicago so I was super excited and was ready to see what the Windy City had to offer. To start off the day we had an early practice so we were all ready to go by 12 and had the entire day to do sightseeing. We head off to the train station and take the 1 hour train ride to the city. Everyone was asleep for almost the entire time because of the practice we had in the morning. Once we get to the city, we walked along the river for about 30 min until we got to downtown and got to see some cool stuff. The first thing we saw I think was some sort of playhouse square looking area. Playhouse square is a very popular place in cleveland (where I'm from). The next thing we saw was the Trump tower. Week 9

     So last week my Girlfriend came to visit me and I was super excited because I hadn't seen her since I left for college. She flew in on Friday morning and I had to pick her up at 8 a.m. which was pretty early for me because I had to get up before 7, but I didn't care. Unfortunately, I had class that day so I could really hang out with her until after 1 p.m., but after that, I showed her around the campus and we got some lunch from the cage. After that, I had practice from 6-9 or something like that. After practice, we went out to Fat Rosie and got some very good Mexican food and then we walked around Downtown Naperville for a little bit before going back to my dorm.      The next day we slept in and we decided that we should go to Chicago and see what going on over there because we don't get to go to the city often. Week 8

 Week 8 of college and I finally have gotten into a good rhythm with school and soccer. Last week my mom and grandparents came to visit me from Ohio and we had a great time. We went out to dinner in downtown Naperville and I might have had the best mac and cheese ever. I forgot the place's name but I will take my girlfriend out there when she comes to visit this weekend. I haven't seen her for a few months, so I'm sure we will also have a great time.  The friendships I've created are becoming stronger, which is good because I was kinda nervous about leaving my old friends behind. Most of my friends are on the soccer team but I'm slowly making friends outside of the team so I don't think I have anything to worry about. However, soccer hasn't gotten any better. I'm still on the reserve team but I've been getting more and more minutes each game and I'm scoring a decent amount.
